I’m a huge fan of Ayn Rand’s work, and the objectivist philosophy. Free markets, and free will lead to growth and prosperity. More government and regulation leads to less growth and prosperity.

I’m like Karen, I prefer your titles. I wanted to say that A Dance in Time is the best book I’ve read since… Lovers’ HOllow . I can’t get Izzy out of my mind and it was the same before. I tell everybody about these two books. Thank you for writing them and take care.

Titles that begin with THE definite article always appeal to me. They sound definitive and unique whereas titles that begin with AN indefinite article sound run-of-the-mill and indecisive.

You are really very clever. I also prefer your own titles for your books – they make much more sense to me.

I can’t write titles at all. Maybe its the same missing gene that makes me suck at word games or crossword puzzles. But I’m not bad at titles for search engines – I seem to be able to sniff out good keywords a mile away.

You have a much better sense of this than I do. I am terrible with titles, even for my blog posts. I can come up with them for other people’s work but go blank when it comes to own work. I feel to close to it. I am going to think about what you’ve written here some more. It might help me define what a title actually is/does. Thank you for sharing this and giving examples. Hugs, Robin
