What is Alli?
ALLi (The Alliance of Independent Authors) is the non-profit professional association for authors who self-publish that I founded in 2012, at London Book Fair.
ALLi offers connection and collaboration, advice and education, advocacy and representation to writers who want to self-publish well.
Our motto is “working together for each other” and we are self-publishing allies. Our moniker is pronounced “ally” (al-eye not al-ee) and brings together a large ALL with a small i, symbolising our all-for-one and one-for-all ethos.
Individually, each of us is one small self-publisher. Together, we are a mighty publishing force, now selling more books than Penguin-Random House, the largest corporate publishing house in the world.
ALLi offers many Member-Only Benefits and we campaign and advocate on behalf of self-publishers, everywhere.
