I’m a great fan of Dorothea Brande’s Becoming A Writer. It was the first writing book I ever read and had a big impact on me. I recently stumbled across her Wake Up & Live on Amazon and am struck by how well she fits today self-help landscape. My favourite quote from the book: “Act as if it were impossible to fail… This is the talisman, the formula, the command of right-about-face which turns us from failure towards success.” That’s the kind of reminder I need right now.
