When you meet a new idea, how do you respond? cave

If you’re only evaluating new information in the light of your old ideas, all you’re doing is strengthening what you already believe.

What might happen if, during a discussion, instead of trying to break in to say what you think, you had no view.

If you just listened, without comment, internal or external?

If you asked yourself: “what can I learn from this?”

Science is always seeking out new information to upset its established ideas.  This is more than the method of science,  it is the method of all worthwhile human knowledge and advances.

It is also the creative way — and, at a personal level, the fast road to freedom.

So drop your views.  See how hard that  is.  And then see what comes in to take their place.
