I’ve been dancing with my brothers and cousins at a wedding in Sweden, investigating the latest battle between conventional and creative forces at Christiania in Copenhagen, hunting out publicity and foreign rights services for the Alliance of Indie Authors (ALLi) and, for the last week, nursing a heavy cold through the wet London “summer”.
Oh and the small detail of finishing the latest magnum opus, BLUE MERCY. Yes it’s almost done and set to publish in July.
I’ve also been figuring out how to make the changes you asked for at this blog.
The survey from earlier this year said that an overwhelming majority of you (87%) wanted to receive a daily post from The Go Creative! Blog.
I understand why. It’s not easy taking the creative (inner) path, when the pull of the conventional (outer) world is always stronger. We need reminders to keep us connected — and conscious.
Allow me to introduce Karen Lotter, journalist and novelist based in Durban, South Africa, who runs a fantastic online web course and the eThekwini Website Factory. She is also a member of ALLi and the author of a very smart crime novel that she’s going to be self-publishing… of which more anon.
Right now, she’s researching the web and working with me editorially to ensure this blog brings you what you need to stay true to the inner call that can so easily be drowned out by daily demands — not least those self-created demands in our own heads.
If you hang out on any of those forums, do join me (and her) over there too.
Tomorrow: We kick off our now to be daily posts with a totally brilliant idea from the totally brilliant Margaret Atwood
