Since leaving Dublin, I’ve been missing the shared morning meditation I used to enjoy there and seeking somewhere I can offer Inspiration Meditation. So I’m delighted to have found the perfect venue just ten minutes from my new house.
The Special Yoga Centre (SYC), Kensal Rise, has a range of great yoga and meditation classes but what makes it super special is that it also offers these as therapy to infants, children and teenagers with Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, ADD/ADHD and other needs. Their programmes aim to ensure, says founder Jo Manuel, “that no label can limit a child’s potential for positive change”.
My sister, Una, has profound special needs, so it really pleases me that donations for the morning meditations will go in full to the centre — to support its endeavours on behalf of these children and their special parents.
If you also admire this work and would like to support it, SYC has a fantastic opportunity at the moment to benefit twice over from your generosity, thanks to The Big Give, who will double any donation.
Any amount, no matter how small, will help them to grow and develop their worthy work. So click here to make a donation and see it doubled.
And for those of you in North/West London, the Morning Meditation sessions are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at SYC, from 7.30am to 8.10am. Come and experience the power of joining with a group of committed regular meditators.
